New tail-lights are now longer with a more triangular shape to convey an impression of strength. Even the tailgate looks smarter with a newly acquired chrome accent. The sports rear bumper with black cut out provide a lower and leaner appearance.
VERSATILITY
The versatility of the new Alfa 147 three-door's interior sets it apart from others in its class. The new Alfa 147 features a spacious, modular luggage compartment. The folding rear seat splits 60/40 to accommodate all types of luggage, and a large storage compartment in the dashboard facia helps to keep everything within hand's reach. The five-door version offers all the elegance and the clever use of space typical of the three-door, but with even easier access for rear-seat passengers.
CONTROL & SAFETY
The Alfa 147 is a compact car that offers the great control typical of a front wheel drive with exceptional precision and response one would expect from a sports car. The newly revised F1 inspired double wishbone front suspension works in perfect harmony with the independent, MacPherson strut rear suspension to provide class leading driving dynamics without compromising ride comfort.
The Alfa 147's power-assisted brakes are nothing short of brilliant. The ventilated discs up front are even bigger than before, and the solid rear discs feature floating callipers. The new Alfa 147's braking system also embraces the latest safety technology including Bosch ABS with integrated EBD, and Alfa's advanced traction control and stability control systems.

Great care has also been devoted to the front and rear seatbelts, all of which are equipped with pre-tensioners and load limiters.All of the car's safety features are managed electronically, including the Fire Prevention System (FPS) that cuts out fuel delivery instantly and automatically in the event of an accident.
Six airbags provide even more protection for every occupant. In addition to the front-impact airbags for the driver and passenger, the new 147 has two side-bags built into the front seats and two window bags offering further protection against head injuries in the event of a side impact.
